AP has named Taylor Swift Entertainer of the Year. I couldn’t agree more she pretty much took over 2009, with sold out concerts and a multi-platinum album. It was a great year for the 20 year old singer.

Congratulations

My Top 10 Films Of The Decade

10. Anchorman The Legend Of Ron Burgandy
Ron Burgundy is San Diego’s top rated newsman in the male dominated broadcasting of the 1970’s, but that’s all about to change when a new female employee with ambition to burn arrives in his office

My Thoughts: Could be one of the funniest movies made this decade, the cast works well together and it’s well written.

9. Donnie Darko
A troubled teenager is plagued by visions of a large bunny rabbit that manipulates him to commit a series of crimes, after narrowly escaping a bizarre accident.

My Thoughts: Great Film and great story, effects are nicely done and acting was good but the story stands out the most.

8 In America
Story: An aspiring Irish actor and his family illegally immigrate in the United States with the dreams of the father breaking into the New York City theatrical scene.

7. Requiem For A Dream
The hopes and dreams of four ambitious people are shattered when their drug addictions begin spiraling out of control.

My Thoughts: Marlon Wayans best role to date, it’s deep and strong.

6. District 9
An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology.

My Thoughts: Could be one of the best films made in 2009, and the story is great and pretty original.

5. Gladiator
When a Roman general is betrayed and his family murdered by a corrupt prince, he comes to Rome as a gladiator to seek revenge.

My Thoughts: Well acted by Russel Crowe, well Directed by Ridley Scott these two make a good pair and can’t wait to see how Robin Hood turns out.

4. Lord OF The Rings: Two Towers
Frodo Continues his journey to throw the one ring into Mordor

My Thoughts: Great film but I think is the weakest of the trilogy but the ensemble cast is phenomenal and the effects are great.

3. Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring
In a small village in the Shire a young Hobbit named Frodo has been entrusted with an ancient Ring. Now he must embark on an Epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it.

My Thoughts: Great film with a great cast, great scenery great effects and great acting one of my personal favorite films.

2. The Dark Knight
Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent are forced to deal with the chaos unleashed by an anarchist mastermind known only as the Joker, as it drives each of them to their limits.

My Thoughts: May be one of the best Batmans of all the Batmans ever made, the acting from Heath Ledger stands out as one of the best Jokers, and Chicago makes a great Gotham City.

1. Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King
The former Fellowship of the Ring prepare for the final battle for Middle Earth, while Frodo & Sam approach Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring.

My Thoughts: I thought this was the best film of the trilogy and is my favorite film of all time, the effects and acting was phenomenal
